TRADITIONAL AFGHAN RUGS & KILIMS

Saffar’s collection of handmade Afghan rugs include the very finely woven Beljik quality rugs along with the ever popular Khal Mohammadi rugs and hallway runners (primarily woven in geometric designs and mainly in red and navy tones) and Ziegler or “Choobi” rugs and hallway runners (produced in floral and curvilinear patterns with that are mainly in the beige and soft red tones).

Saffar’s collection of Afghan traditional kilims (flat weaves) are geometric in design and comprise of mainly red and navy tones, whilst our Afghan Mughal kilims (flat weaves) maintain the traditional geometric design but introduce a combination of varied stronger and brighter tones suitable for contemporary spaces.
