Saffar’s quality collection of Antique, Semi-Antique and new silk rugs are individually selected and proudly displayed both online and in our showroom. As a result of the fine, yet strong silk fibres used in these rugs, Silk rugs are the most intricate and in many cases the most valuable of all handmade rugs.

Our Kashmir Silk rug collection are woven by skilled artisans out of India, which are often based on traditional rug designs from Persia. This collection includes both pure silk (silk warp and silk weft) rugs as well as silk (silk warp and cotton weft) rugs with a variety of floral and garden designs.

Saffars highest quality silk rugs originate from Qum (Ghom) Persia, 100kms south of Irans capital Tehran. With their intricate detail and very high knot count, Qum silk rugs are very highly regarded and are among the most sought after and valuable silk rugs in the market.
